Creating Safer, Stronger Dancers & Instructors™
Ballet Training and Coaching for Longevity, Injury Prevention, and Sustaining Careers
As a professional ballet dancer, Certified Personal Trainer, and Physical Therapist Assistant, my mission is to educate and elevate ballet training and performance through evidence-based remedial science techniques used in injury prevention, recovery techniques, and sustainable conditioning methods for dancers of all ages and stages of life.
The Veronica K Method™: A Restorative Approach to Safer Ballet Training and Performance
Throughout my professional dance and clinical therapy careers I realized first-hand the physical demands, poor form in execution, and unsafe risks of serious injuries that could abruptly end anyone’s promising dance career. My depth of experience in dance performance and remedial physical therapy naturally led me to create the Veronica K Method™, that develops Safer, Stronger Dancers and Instructors™. It's a comprehensive blend of progressive training and coaching techniques that addresses the critical elements of ballet soundness and injury prevention practiced today. Some features of my program include:
✔️Therapeutic exercises, myofascial mobility and release methods
✔️Strength & endurance training
✔️Balance & muscle energy techniques
✔️Progressive resistance & corrective ballet practices
✔️Postural awareness & body alignment
✔️Classical ballet techniques, focusing on longevity in practice and performance regardless of age or body type
My progressive methodology approach ensures ballet dancers can build strength and resilience, recover effectively, and extend their careers—whether they are pre-professionals, adult dancers, instructors, or senior ballet dancers.
My Journey: From Adversity to Advocacy
My dance career was filled with many challenges—from physical injuries to emotional setbacks, such as being turned away for work because of my particular body type. Despite these drawbacks, I persisted in my professional dance path and pursued a performance career that continues today as a freelance ballet dancer for various companies. My combined experiences ignites my passion in defining, providing, and encouraging stronger and safer methods for ballet training and performance. I've created a platform of top-notch educational resources that are readily accessible to all dancers and dance educators to support and empower their growth, and realize their true progress to maximum potential.
Dance Instructor Continuing Education
My passion is sharing my professional expertise in injury prevention and sound ballet techniques for practice and performance. I’m committed to serving ballet dance educators and their students with safer and more effective training methods that help them recognize and deliver their best form, from the classroom to the stage. As such, I created my Ballet Injury Prevention Continuing Education Course for dance educators, physical therapists, and personal trainers, now an accredited course by the Ohio Physical Therapy Association.
Dance and Stage Makeup Education
My passion and experience in creative makeup artistry for many kinds of characterizations and stage looks has led me to further elevate the art in the dance world through Stage Makeup Education. With a Multi-Emmy® Award-Winning Makeup Artist partnering on my team, I offer the best in high-definition makeup knowledge, techniques and professional grade products for all performers. Whether you dance on stage or perform in front of the camera, professional makeup education and products elevates and impacts your visual look and stage presence, and boosts confidence in performance.
